5th and 6th Grade Reading: This week we will continue our research on Medieval times to help us better identify with the setting of our next three novels. The novels we are reading are Ella Enchanted, The Whipping Boy, and The Tale of Despereaux.
Spelling/ Grammar: No Spelling Unit this week
5th Grade Math- We will be starting Chapter 11 this week: Dividing Decimals. We will start with reviewing adding and subtracting decimals to see how much we remember. We will then be looking for patterns in decimal division, and then on to the dividing!
6th Grade Math- Algebra is back! We will be working with algebra expressions, reviewing exponents, and the having all sorts f fun with square roots- I hope!
Social Studies- We will use this week to review Chapter 18. Our test will be on Thursday.
Science: Now that we are experts on building earthquake proof skyscrapers, we are moving on to the topics of erosion and weathering, and the effect they have on the earth’s surface.
Religion- This week we will continue our Lenten study: Making a Change of Heart. We will also be sharing our next two Lent symbols with the school at our Wednesday morning prayer service in church.
* Please help us to continue to collect prayers for our Haiti prayer chain. Our class is looking for ways to collect more prayers to reach our goal of 1,920. Please help us!
