Reading

5th Grade & 6th Grade: This week we will be continuing with our three novels based on the events of WWII. Each of the books chosen are helping us to learn about the home front, the war in the Pacific, and the war in Europe.

Math-
5th Grade: This week we will begin fraction concepts. We will be working on equivalent fractions, simplest form, mixed numbers and more!

6th Grade: Now that we have a good understanding of integers, we can move on to geometric figures. We will study lines, points, planes, and many kinds of angles.

Social Studies- We will continue our study of WW II. We will look at where it took place, who was involved, how people on the home front helped, and we will analyze why the United States joined the war.

Science- Last week we learned about the Atmosphere. This week we will build on what we learned and then move on to water vapor, humidity, and clouds and precipitation.

Religion- We will continue our work in Chapter 12: Called to Holiness. We will look at the examples saints have given us, study the liturgical year, and learn more about praying the Rosary.

Yours in Catholic Education- Mrs. Lynn
