EDUCATION COMMITTEE MEETING:  Monday, Dec. 8th. 7pm in the Parish Center

DEAR PARENTS:  With the Christmas Season fast approaching, many of you have questions about gifts for the children’s Buddies.  Rosemary School reminds families to ‘keep Christ in Christmas’ when considering a gift.  Less is more - $3.00 or less is an appropriate amount to spend.  The Dollar Store has items which the children would love to receive.  An age appropriate book is always appreciated.  You may also consider a handmade gift such as a card with a candy cane attached or a personalized tree ornament.  A little thought and creativity can go a long way.  Let’s teach our children that Christ is the reason for the season!!!

EMERGENCY CLOSING OF SCHOOL:  Rosemary School observes the closing or delay of school day (2-hour delayed start) as determined by the Northern Ozaukee School District.  Rosemary School families will be notified by the Saf-T-Net program.  This program is an automated calling system that will notify families of any school closing or delayed starts.  The announcement of school closings or delayed starts will be made as early as possible on the following radio and television stations:

Radio:

WTMJ (620 AM) - WOKY (920 AM) - WISN (1130 AM)

TV:

WTMJ (CH 4) - WITI (CH 6) - WISN (CH 12) - CBS (CH 58)

On a two-hour delayed start day, students should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before classes begin which will be 9:45am.  There is no supervision before that time.  In case of an emergency situation within the building during the regular school day, the pastor and the principal will determine closing the school.  Parents will be notified as soon as possible.

DEAR PARENTS OF 2ND THRU 6TH GRADE STUDENTS:  Our Christmas musical is Thur. Dec. 18.  Please dress appropriately for your part in the program.

·          Prophets – Dark colored sandals/dark shoes, dark colored robe (long)

·          Shepherds - Dark colored sandals or dark shoes – if shoes are not dark, dark socks may be worn over shoes.  If possible, a lamb or sheep (stuffed) will be carried by each shepherd.  If needed, other students may loan you theirs. Roman Soldiers – Dark colored sandals or dark shoes, tan or dark colored slacks, Large (man’s) shirt to be worn with slacks.

Other students who have character parts will be able to use clothing here.  The rest of the students will please wear “dressy” clothing – not slacks, jeans, etc.  Thank you for your help.  If you have questions, please give me a call at school or at home at 26-2-692-9674.  Thank you.  Mrs. Barrett.
