Dear Parents:

So far we have Applied an A, Buttoned a B, Carved a C, Dotted a D, Erased an E, and Folded an F. This alphabet construction is a lot of work, good thing I have a good crew! I am sending home a calendar this week which will have the letters we are doing for March. Thanks for trying to send show and tells that start with our letters.

We talked about elephants for the letter E. We made elephant puppets. For the letter F we are learning about Fairy tales. We read Little Red Riding Hood and it was a great lesson for not talking to strangers. We also read Cinderella and made Fairy Godmother wands. I told them not to use them to turn anyone into a frog!

In religion we are learning about Jesus’ miracles. This week we read about how Jesus helped the fishermen catch fish and then asked them to be his helpers and teach people about God. We will continue with this next week. We are also having a special prayer service for Lent every Wednesday in the church.

Don’t forget to have your kids earn money to put in their Lenten banks for Sr. Klas. In the can this week are coupons you can help your kids fill out to make promises to do good things.

Don’t forget to set up a conference for your child, if there is a problem with the times or dates please let me know.

Have a great weekend and don’t forget come to Rosemary for a fish fry!             Mrs. Thome
